Specify low-carbon products with verified data.
EN 15978, LEED v5, and BREEAM now require verified product environmental data — not PDF EPDs hunted manually. Machine-readable DPPs let you pull verified EN 15804+A2 data directly into your whole-building LCA without manual search, re-entry, or unit conversion errors.
Why DPPs matter for your practice
LEED v5 requires machine-readable product data
LEED v5 MR Credit 2 moves beyond paper EPDs — products must have machine-readable declarations that allow automated GWP calculation and portfolio-level comparison.
EN 15978 whole-building LCA needs EPD data per element
Whole-building assessment under EN 15978 requires verified EPD data assigned to each building element. Manual PDF extraction is the bottleneck — DPPs remove it.
DPPs replace manual EPD search — data flows to your model
A machine-readable DPP exposes structured EN 15804+A2 data as JSON. Your LCA tool pulls it directly. No re-entry, no expired EPDs discovered mid-project, no unit conversion.
Buy Clean California requires verified GWP thresholds
Buy Clean CA sets maximum GWP thresholds per product category for publicly funded projects. Verified DPP data provides the threshold compliance documentation procurement requires.
Built for architects
Verified product data. In your workflow.
Machine-readable product data, finally.
No more PDF hunting, unit conversion errors, or expired EPDs discovered mid-project. Terrave DPPs expose verified EN 15804+A2 data as structured JSON — importable directly into your LCA tool. Every indicator, every module, every declared unit. Machine-readable, not a scanned document.
Data is third-party verified against the published EPD before it enters the registry. Expired EPDs are flagged automatically. Your model always holds current, verified values.

LEED v5 credit documentation, auto-generated.
MR Credit 2.1 (EPD) and 2.2 (GWP reduction) documentation generated from your project's product schedule. GWP reduction calculations pre-formatted for USGBC submission — product list, qualifying EPD references, baseline GWP values, and percentage reductions all assembled automatically.
Credit 2.1 requires at least 20 products from at least five manufacturers with qualifying EPDs. Credit 2.2 requires a 10% GWP reduction for at least 50% of products by cost. Terrave tracks both thresholds against your live product schedule throughout the design process.

Compare products across all 13 indicators.
Side-by-side comparison across all EN 15804+A2 indicators for any product category — not just GWP. Filter by geography, declared unit, and module coverage. Find the lowest-carbon option with verified data, not manufacturer marketing claims.
Comparison reports are exportable as project appendices for design team review, client presentations, or sustainability documentation. All source EPD references are included so any comparison can be independently audited.

Verified DPP data exports as ISO 22057 property sets — importable into Revit, ArchiCAD, and IFC-based workflows. Environmental data stays linked to the model element, not a separate spreadsheet. When a product specification changes, the environmental data updates with it.
ISO 22057 defines the structure for how LCA data is embedded in BIM models. Terrave exports to that structure directly — no manual mapping between EPD indicators and BIM property names.

ArchiCAD

From product schedule to credit documentation.
Search the DPP registry
Search Terrave's verified DPP registry by product category, manufacturer, geography, or declared unit. Filter results by module coverage and indicator availability. Every result is a verified, machine-readable record — not a scanned PDF.
Pull verified data into your project model
Import DPP data directly into your LCA tool via openEPD connector, or export ISO 22057 BIM property sets for Revit, ArchiCAD, or IFC. Assign verified environmental data to each building element. Data stays current — expired EPDs are flagged automatically.
Generate credit documentation
Terrave assembles LEED v5 MR Credit 2.1 and 2.2 packages, EN 15978 assessment exports, BREEAM Mat 01 evidence, and Buy Clean CA compliance documentation from your project product schedule. All formatted for submission.
FAQ
DPP questions for architects, answered.
What data is inside a Terrave DPP?
Each DPP contains the full EN 15804+A2 indicator set — GWP-total, GWP-fossil, GWP-biogenic, GWP-luluc, ODP, AP, EP-freshwater, EP-marine, EP-terrestrial, POCP, ADPE, ADPF, and WDP — across all declared life cycle modules (A1–C4 and D). Data is structured as verified JSON, not a PDF table, so it is directly importable into calculation tools without manual re-entry or unit conversion.
How does LCA tool integration actually work?
Terrave exposes a public DPP endpoint at /api/dpp/[upi] that returns structured JSON conforming to the openEPD schema. Any LCA tool that supports openEPD imports (One Click LCA, Tally, EC3, and others) can pull data directly. For tools without a native connector, Terrave exports ISO 22057-formatted property sets that can be mapped to your tool's import format. No PDF parsing, no copy-paste, no unit conversion errors.
Which BIM authoring tools are supported?
Terrave exports ISO 22057 property sets compatible with Revit (as shared parameter schedules), ArchiCAD (as property set definitions), and any IFC-based workflow. The export maps verified DPP indicators to the ISO 22057 property naming convention so they stay linked to the model element, not a separate spreadsheet. Grasshopper and Dynamo scripting connectors are on the roadmap for parametric workflows.
How does LEED v5 MR Credit 2 documentation work?
LEED v5 MR Credit 2.1 requires EPDs from at least 20 permanently installed products from at least five manufacturers. Credit 2.2 requires a minimum 10% GWP reduction versus a baseline for at least 50% of products by cost. Terrave assembles both requirements from your project product schedule — identifying qualifying products, calculating the weighted GWP reduction, and formatting the submission package in the structure USGBC reviewers expect.
What happens if a product does not have a DPP yet?
Terrave's registry covers verified DPPs for products already on the platform. For products not yet in the registry, Terrave provides a fallback to conservative industry-average EPD data (sourced from EC3 benchmarks and ÖKOBAUDAT category averages) flagged clearly as unverified estimates. You can also request that a manufacturer publish their DPP through Terrave — the manufacturer workflow is separate from the architect workflow.
How is Terrave priced for architecture firms?
Terrave offers project-based and practice-wide plans. A single-project plan covers one building assessment, LEED v5 documentation package, and unlimited DPP lookups for that project. A practice plan covers unlimited concurrent projects with team collaboration, BIM connector access, and priority support. Contact us for enterprise and multi-office pricing. No per-lookup fees — you are not charged each time you pull product data.
